Complaints & Grievances

Complaints and/or grievances may arise from individual swimmers, parents, coaches or members of the public. In the event that there may be a complaint or grievance a report of the complaint can be forwarded to the club grievance officer using the ‘submit’ button on this page. The Club Grievance Officer is appointed by the Club Committee on a season by season basis. The Club Grievance Officer shall deal with all matters objectively and confidentially taking into consideration any relevant policies (eg. member welfare and child welfare), standards or rules. In dealing with complaints the Club Grievance Officer shall seek input from all relevant parties and if required may consult with external experts in order to seek resolution of the matter.

In regards to a Club coaching, squad or competition related issue, please initially direct any issues or concerns to your child’s Squad Coach, noting that all coaches are employees of Elite Swimming. If the issue is not able to be resolved satisfactorily, or you would like further advice or support then please submit your issue in writing via the ‘submit’ button on this page. Please do not raise complaints or grievances in the all of Club WhatsAPP chat.

All complaints will be heard and acknowledged and treated as private and confidential.

Essendon District Aquatic supports and promotes the Swimming Australia National Integrity Framework (NIF), confirming the responsibility we have in keeping children and young people and all participants safe in our sport. More information regarding the NIF can be found at the bottom of this page under the Safe Sport & Integrity drop down.
